As of July 1, 2023, Energia naturalis d.o.o. (ENNA) will get a new president of the board. Mr. Pavle Vujnovac will be replaced by Mr. Boštjan Napast.
Mr. Vujnovac remains the owner of all companies within the system, but he is withdrawing from the operational, day-to-day management of the ENNA group, as well as from the position of CEO of PPD. Mr. Damir Spudić, will also leave the company and his position of CFO. In the future Mr. Vujnovac and Mr. Spudić will assume supervisory functions in Enna, just as they do in other companies and projects in which Mr. Vujnovac appears as an investor.
These changes at the top of the group are taking place as part of the process of changing the corporate structure and preparing the ENNA group for its initial public offering (IPO) on the capital market and an investment cycle worth more than one billion euros. Business diversification began more than six years ago, with investments in new business segments and strengthening divisions whose operations are fully aligned with the European Union's goals of achieving a low-carbon environment, which include renewable energy sources, transport and logistics, and food. The aforementioned processes will be followed by numerous personnel expansions and reinforcements.
Boštjan Napast is a mechanical engineering graduate with many years of management experience in the energy and logistics sectors. He started his career in 1995 as a designer of mechanical installations. He worked at Petrol for more than 10 years, where he progressed from a sales representative to a member of the board in charge of energy, investments, technical development and quality. He has experience in successfully conducting restructuring, digitalization, and process optimization. In 2011, he took over the management of the company Geoplin and transformed it from a local company to a successful regional company over a ten year period. At the end of 2021, he became the CEO of the port Luka Koper, which, during his tenure, recorded record business results despite the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
"I am very pleased to start working in an ambitious system like ENNA." We are facing numerous challenges, a lot of learning, new technologies, demanding and pioneering projects. It will be tremendously exciting and I am looking forward to it. I am confident that together we will achieve great things and I wish us all luck and success on this journey," said the new CEO of ENNA Group, Boštjan Napast.
"I have long wanted to see someone like Boštjan on our team. I'm glad that the circumstances have aligned and that my wish has now come true. He is a top professional with extensive experience in energy and outstanding results in logistics. I appreciate his human and professional qualities and believe that he brings exactly what we need to the ENNA group for the challenging plans we have set for ourselves. I am entrusting him with the management of the ENNA group with full confidence, and he will have my full support as well as the support of the entire system," said the owner and former CEO of Enna, Pavao Vujnovac.
At the beginning of the year, Mr. Mate Žužić also joined the ENNA group as a finance director. Mr. Žužić studied in the USA. He was a Fulbright scholar and started his career in Cleveland (Ohio) as an investment banking analyst. He was the vice president of the Townsend Group, a global real estate advisor and asset manager with $119 billion in advised assets and $24 billion in assets under management. He was a consultant in Zagreb for a year working for McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm that serves a wide range of private and public institutions. Just before arriving in Enna, he was the Investment Director for the Lukšić group in Croatia, who are the sole shareholders of Plava Laguna, Adriatic Luxury Hotels, and Excelsa Nekretnine.
Mrs. Sabina Škrtić remains a member of the management board of the ENNA group, responsible for corporate relations and business support, and continues her work on developing Enna into a modern European green company.
As we previously reported, PPD and its foreign subsidiaries (PPD Group) are exiting the ENNA Group and are being transferred to the ownership of the company Blue Horizon, wholly owned by Mr. Pavle Vujnovac, also based in Vukovar.
Mrs. Antonija Glavaš and Mrs. Ivana Ivančić continue to lead PPD as members of the management board of Prvo Plinarsko Društvo.
