ENNA Next Introduces Battery Storage Solutions for Homes

A New Level of Energy Independence

Date publishedJanuary 14, 2026

Zagreb, 14 December 2026 – ENNA Next, a leading company in the domestic solar power plant market with more than 3,000 solar systems installed for private customers, has expanded its offer as of early 2026 to include a new product: home battery energy storage systems.

Battery systems represent the next major step forward in the energy sector. When combined with a solar power plant, they enable near-complete energy independence and maximize the use of generated energy. Instead of feeding surplus electricity into the grid and later drawing it back at a higher price, energy produced by solar panels is stored in a battery and used when it is needed most—during the evening, at night, or in periods of reduced daylight. This ensures that every kilowatt-hour produced is fully utilized, further encouraging investment in solar power plants.

In addition to improving the efficiency of solar energy use, battery systems also provide added security. In the event of a power outage, the battery can supply electricity to essential household appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, or electric heating systems. These solutions make households more resilient to future electricity price fluctuations and reduce their dependence on the power grid.

ENNA Next battery systems come with a 10-year warranty, while premium equipment and professional installation by certified installers ensure long-term reliability and safe operation. Once the optimal solution is selected, installation typically takes one day, and in more complex cases no more than two days, after which the system is immediately ready for use. More information is available on the Battery Systems page. Strong Growth of Battery Systems in the European Union

Battery systems not only contribute to greater self-sufficiency for households and businesses but also play an important role in stabilizing the power grid, which is increasingly reliant on electricity generation from renewable energy sources. As a result, batteries are becoming an integral part of the new energy landscape in the European Union, which promotes renewable energy use as well as on-site energy consumption.

In 2024, a record 21.9 GWh of new battery systems were installed in Europe, with households accounting for more than 50% of total installed capacity. Germany leads the way, with nearly 600,000 new home battery systems installed in 2024, followed by Italy and the United Kingdom. Further growth of more than 30% in new installations is expected in 2025.
