Marin Cerjan at the Green Energy Expo Zagreb

ENNA Next at the green energy conference and expo

Date publishedJune 4, 2025

Zagreb, June 3, 2025 – Marin Cerjan, Director of ENNA Next, took part in the Green Energy Expo Zagreb 2025, the first event of its kind in Croatia and the region dedicated to the latest advancements in green energy. The conference and accompanying trade fair highlighted key technologies including green hydrogen, solar and wind energy, battery storage systems, and energy from waste. The two-day event, held on June 3 and 4, 2025, at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, brought together domestic and international experts, representatives of government institutions, and most importantly, companies offering sustainable energy solutions.

On the first day of the conference, Marin Cerjan participated in a panel titled “Sustainable Energy Technologies: Battery Storage, Solar Power Plants, Wind Farms.” He presented ENNA Next’s portfolio of services, which includes the construction of solar power plants, supply of natural gas and electricity, installation of battery storage systems, and the aggregation service.

Cerjan emphasized the importance of energy management in the context of the transition toward renewable energy sources and the growing need for system flexibility.

“Transmission system operators are increasingly challenged to balance supply and demand, as electricity production is now largely weather-dependent, such as in the case of wind and solar power plants. This is where the market for ancillary services is emerging—transmission operators are willing to pay for any flexibility that pre-qualified consumers or producers can offer,” Cerjan explained, introducing ENNA Next’s aggregation service.

“An aggregator platform is a software solution that enables small producers and consumers with internal system flexibility to participate in the market. We operate such a platform, aggregating all market participants capable of providing flexibility, and offering that flexibility on the market through our platform. This creates two revenue streams: one for providing system reserves, and the other for activating ancillary services and energy delivery,” Cerjan concluded.

The Green Energy Expo Zagreb was organized by H2 Cell Croatia – the Croatian Association for the Development and Application of Hydrogen Fuel Cells.
