Opatija, October 20–21, 2025 – Petar Glavaš, Member of the Management Board of Enna Transport and Enna Logic, participated in the “Contemporary Logistics, Management, and Supply Chains” conference held on October 20–21 in Opatija. The conference was organized by the media company Business Media Croatia under the patronage of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, the Croatian Employers’ Association, and the Port Authority of Rijeka, and over two days gathered government representatives and numerous logistics sector experts from Croatia and the region.

During the conference, the Minister of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, addressed participants, stating that railway infrastructure—specifically the lowland railway project from Rijeka to Zagreb—is a top priority for the next 10 years, describing it as “a demanding project with an estimated value of €3 billion.” He also emphasized that without the logistics and transport industry, there can be no global free market.

The first day featured presentations, lectures, and panel discussions on the role of Adriatic ports in the new European logistics reshuffle, with participants including Tomislav Rosandić, Member of the Management Board of Rijeka Gateway, Denis Vukorepa, Director of the Port Authority of Rijeka, and Matej Kutle, Head of Sales at the Port of Split.

On the second day of the conference, Petar Glavaš took part in a panel discussion on transport infrastructure development until 2030, as well as the development of ports, corridors, and logistics centers, and public and private investments. Alongside Glavaš, the panel included Milan Vuković from the Railway Infrastructure Directorate at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, Petar Šimić, CEO of Primacošped, Ivić Vodopija, Director for Eastern Europe at Maersk Line, and Hrvoje Ordulj from Hrvatske autoceste.

Petar Glavaš highlighted that ENNA Transport is ready to handle increased cargo volumes following the opening of the terminal at the Zagreb quay and that their plan is to operate seven trains per day, which will remove 350 trucks from the roads daily. Ivić Vodopija highlighted Maersk’s investment of €300–400 million in the Zagreb quay and noted that this will not reduce their presence in the Port of Koper, where they are also the largest partners. “Our presence in both ports means we can offer more ship rotations and be more competitive in the market,” emphasized Vodopija. Šimić agreed, noting that freight forwarders are satisfied with the increased traffic, but that this growth must be accompanied by additional staff involved in shipping operations. He added that the railway is already capable of transporting the new container volumes but should be better organized and prioritize freight over passenger traffic.

The remainder of the conference included discussions on warehousing systems, distribution, artificial intelligence, and cyber threats, which are significantly transforming the logistics and transport sectors.
