Zagreb, 25 June 2025 - Petar Glavaš, a board member of ENNA Transport and ENNA Logic, participated on Tuesday, 24 June 2025, in a professional panel held in Rijeka titled The Rijeka Transport Route - A Look into the Future, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy - Rijeka County Chamber.
Alongside Petar Glavaš, the panel featured Tomislav Rosandić, board member of Rijeka Gateway; Marko Mišković, board member of the Port of Rijeka; Darko Barišić, board member of HŽ Infrastructure; Vedran Devčić, board member of Cenoza Promet; and Marin Škufca, board member of Liburnia Maritime Agency.
During the panel, participants emphasized that a modern and efficient railway system is essential to unlocking the full potential of the port. The new lowland railway line from Zagreb to Rijeka was highlighted as a key element for faster, more efficient, and cost-effective transport to Central Europe.
The importance of the new Rijeka Gateway container terminal was also underlined. This terminal is expected to significantly increase traffic through the Port of Rijeka and become the most advanced and sustainable terminal in this part of Europe.
Goran Šaravanja, Chief Economist at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, opened the event with a presentation of the Study on the Economic Impacts of the Port of Rijeka, which outlines the port’s importance for the development of the Rijeka region as well as for the Croatian economy as a whole.
