ENNA Logic’s first test train arrives at RGW Terminal
System and equipment testing at the Terminal

Zagreb, 11 August 2025 – Final preparations are under way ahead of the launch of the state-of-the-art Rijeka Gateway container terminal on the Zagreb Pier in Rijeka.
As part of the final phase of testing terminal systems and equipment, the container vessel MV Cape Fulmar is berthing at the terminal today, joined by the arrival of the first test train operated by ENNA Logic. The 500-metre-long train set off from the Nelt terminal (near Belgrade) and was divided into two sections to deliver empty containers on two tracks. These will be used for crane testing and cargo handling operations at the terminal.
A total of five to six trains are expected to arrive in August for equipment and operational checks, according to Gregor Glušič, Chief Executive Officer of ENNA Logic and ENNA Transport.
“The first commercial vessel will arrive at the terminal on 12 September 2025 from China, after which the cargo will be transported onwards by our trains to Hungary and Serbia. At ENNA Logic, we are ready for the terminal’s launch, we are eager to get started, and we have full confidence in the success of RGW. We also hope for further investment in rail infrastructure and, of course, we believe in the construction of the lowland railway, which is crucial for the development of the Rijeka basin and for relieving traffic congestion,” said Glušič.
The 170-metre-long MV Cape Fulmar, with a capacity of 1,440 TEUs, will remain at the terminal for a month to facilitate comprehensive training and testing of operational processes in real conditions – from planning, loading and transhipping containers, and securing cargo, to checking coordination and movement of terminal vehicles.
Rijeka Gateway is the largest private investment in logistics infrastructure in Croatia and a joint project of the ENNA Group and APM Terminals, with approximately €200 million invested to date.
