XEnergy Internship Program Launched at ENNA Next
Zagreb, 20 November 2025 – The XEnergy Internship student placement programme has begun at Enna Next. The programme, designed for female students, is delivered by XEnergy – a network dedicated to promoting women in the energy transition – in cooperation with the ENNA group.
The programme aims to provide female students with hands-on experience in the energy sector, help them develop professional and personal skills, and enhance their competitiveness in a rapidly changing industry.
Although the initial plan was to select four participants, the exceptionally strong response and high-quality applications led to the selection of eight students from various institutions – Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, the Faculty of Organisation and Informatics in Varaždin and RIT.
Guided by experienced mentors from ENNA Next, the selected students will spend four weeks working on real project tasks, learning about the company’s business processes, and actively contributing to the development of practical solutions.
On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, an introductory gathering was held at Enna Next’s offices in Zagreb. The students met their mentors and were divided into teams:
1) Marijeta Majer, Director of the Energy Services Division, will mentor Jana Delač and Martina Pervan;
2) Branimir Herceg, Head of Operations, will mentor Marta Žejinski and Lucija Crnoja;
3) Nikolina Čović, Portfolio Management Associate, will mentor Lola Ranogajac and Zara Plevko;
4) Luka Krilić, Head of Portfolio Management, will mentor Lucija Perkić and Ana Nuić.
Opening the student placement programme, Nela Vlahinić, President of XEnergy, thanked the mentors who will devote their knowledge, experience and time over the coming four weeks.
“Many thanks to our partner, the ENNA Group, for enabling us to design and deliver this programme in line with the world’s best internship models. Dear students, we wish you every success – make the most of the benefits of working in a dynamic, modern and successful company such as the ENNA Group. Your interest, motivation and level of preparedness during the selection process were truly inspiring and once again demonstrated how many talented and ambitious young women we have across different fields. It is precisely programmes like this that bring us the greatest joy, because investing in young women in energy is an investment in a fairer, more sustainable and more innovative future,” said Vlahinić.
Nenad Ukropina, Director of ENNA Next, welcomed the students and presented the company’s operations, emphasising that they will witness the major shifts currently taking place in the energy sector.
“ENNA Next is the first smart energy hub in Croatia, offering a wide range of energy services and products in one place – from gas and electricity supply to solar power plants, battery systems, virtual power plants, aggregation services, and the purchase of electricity generated from renewable sources. What you will see here, I believe, cannot be seen anywhere else in Croatia,” said Ukropina, wishing the students and their mentors a successful and productive placement.
