Focus Areas: Energy, Logistics and Digital Infrastructure

Date publishedApril 29, 2026

Dubrovnik, 29 April 2026 – Dubrovnik is hosting the Three Seas Initiative Summit and its accompanying two-day Business Forum this week.

The Initiative aims to strengthen economic connectivity across the region between the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas — a market of approximately 120 million people with a combined GDP of €3.5 trillion in 2025.

The Summit, held on Tuesday, April 28, brought together heads of state from participating and associated countries, strategic partners, and international financial institutions. Discussions focused on transport, energy, and digital connectivity, with particular emphasis on the role of financial institutions and private capital in delivering key projects. The significance of the event was further underscored by the participation of a high-level U.S. delegation led by Secretary of Energy Chris Wright.

The Business Forum, running on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 28–29, has drawn more than 1,200 business leaders, investors, and representatives of financial institutions. The program covers transport, energy, the digital industry, dual-use technologies (serving both military and civilian purposes), and finance. ENNA Group representatives took part in the Business Forum.

Ana Soldo, President of the Management Board of ENNA Logica, participated on the first day of the Forum in a panel dedicated to the development of logistics hubs and intermodal platforms serving both commercial supply chains and military operational requirements. Joining Ana Soldo on the panel were Ian O. Lesser, Senior Advisor to the President of GMF (USA), Laimonas Nekrošius, President of the Management Board of LTG Cargo Polska, and Illia Koshkin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kovel Porto (Ukraine).

"The Three Seas Initiative has achieved a milestone in integrating military mobility into transport policy. Projects such as Rail Baltica and Via Carpathia are now recognized as dual-use foundations, with growing emphasis on their importance for economic growth and resilience. Civilian and military cargo share the same rail lines, making rail one of the key pillars of dual-use convergence. While political will and investment funds are in place, the main challenge remains aligning divergent national standards and procedures," said the President of ENNA Logica.

Ivana Meašić, Director of ENNA Geo, delivered a keynote address at a business event focused on baseload energy projects. She highlighted the many benefits of geothermal energy for both the energy system and local communities, emphasizing that geothermal power plants generate electricity regardless of weather conditions or time of day, with no waste and virtually no harmful emissions. She also presented two geothermal power plant projects currently being developed by ENNA — Zagocha and Babina Greda — and underscored Croatia's and Europe's broader potential in harnessing geothermal energy, which could reduce European dependence on fossil fuel imports, as recognized in the European Commission's recently unveiled AccelerateEU p

The Political Summit and Business Forum in Dubrovnik brought together a total of 1,600 participants and representatives from more than 700 companies across 45 countries.
